The stack just went up a week before 'WW so I had plenty of choices and
combinations to play with. With the very disturbed conditions at this
latitude there was much one way propagation - many polar route signals had
to be S9 before they were workable. Missed many "easy" countries and a few
zones because of this. Never heard Z34 and heard but didn't work 21 (tried
at least 4 9K2's) 29 and 39. Mostly search instead of running but slept
thru 3 alarms the second night, woke up Sunday am (9 hrs later!) in time
to hear 20 nearly fade out for a few minutes. It did rebound but was never
stable. Heard from locals that 20 was very good to Europe during that
time, of course! Not as serious an effort as planned but always
interesting. And no snow up here!
