These both sound like great ideas Will. The meter is in a confined area
so a custom copper clad box may be the solution if I can't find a bud
box with the right dimensions. Thanks for the info.

There's one other way if nobody has said it. You can use double sided pc
board. Make a small box out of pieces of board and solder it up. I've
seen whole projects built this way. This way, you can directly solder
the feedthrough caps. Some are made to be soldered in place anyhow. But,
if it were me, I'd use some copper flashing bought from a home supply or
hardware store. It's actually thin enough, you can cut it with heavy
shears, snips, or scribe it, bend it and break it into the peices you
want. You can easily form it into a box shape without a break using
sheet metal pliars or vise jaws by hand. Then you can directly solder to
it. By making one, you can assure a good fit around the meter in a tight
place.
