Having been shocked by the price of turns counters, I found some fairly
inexpensive Veeder-Root units on ebay but they lack the hardware needed to join
them up with a panel-mount shaft (for the tuning and loading caps). I bought a
couple anyway figuring it would be easy enough to homebrew something with a
pair of miter gears. However, after a few hours on the web searching, I still
could not locate a proper set of gears. Rather than waste more time, has
anyone been down this path before and can offer suggestions? Thanks,
