OM's, For what it's worth, I 'm running a 1965 vintage 30L-1 with Taylor (RF Parts) 572B's in it and have seen no indication of instability on 28 mhz or any other band. There is of course NO difference in power output between the 811A's and the 572B's. However, I made the change because at the time that I was purchasing the tubes for replacement purposes, there did not appear to be a clear winner in "quality" of the 811A's, having seen Svetlana drop their line of ceramic based 811A's. So, I paid more, but have some very SOLID tubes in my 30L-1 which is working just fine ! 73, Dave, K2DP, St. Louis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vic Rosenthal" <vic@rakefet.com> To: "Javier Remoto" <jlopez@plasticosomega.com> Cc: <amps@contesting.com> Sent: Sunday, September 19, 2004 9:52 AM Subject: Re: [Amps] Collins 30L-1 / 572's B Javier Remoto wrote:Hi, _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
