Could be the input relay??? -s ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Flood" <k4dlx@bellsouth.net> To: <amps@contesting.com> Sent: Friday, December 31, 2004 4:25 PM Subject: [Amps] Henry 2K classic Jose, The fact that Yaesu output drops to 20 w seems to be an important symptom. There are two things that cause Yaesu output to drop: A) VSWR too high at output of Yaesu -- check input vswr of amp. (something at the amp input may be bad) B) ALC circuit in amp is giving too much feedback to the Yaesu (maybe it's broken) -- disconnect the ALC and operate the rig with manual control of Yaesu output. 73 John K4DLX _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
