[Amps] Made in China - Japan again?

I seem to recall that Japan went through this same
kind of thing, when "Made in Japan" meant junk.
But eventually they wised up and now optics, as
an example, are very nice.  Automobiles seem to
be well accepted (to say the least).  

China seems to be a bit slow on the uptake.  I
think their government is being far to defensive of
the crap they sell to make sense.
