Just because a ton of something sells does not mean it's any good.
The day I see a DIN connector in a critical piece of electronics like is
found in aircraft, I will begin to give it some consideration. Show me the
back of a 747's nav computer and if there's a DIN plug there, I will eat my
words AND the DIN plug. :-)
I would like to think a multi-thousand dollar ham radio is deserving of
something better than a kid's boombox would use.
