I am going to setup a new Expert PA and a Yaesu FT2000.
In the SPE manual http://www.ea4tx.com/files/EXPERT1K-FA-EN.pdf
we want to use the BAND Data Interface from Yaesu FT2000 > PA
The manual don't tell exactly which connecter on Yaesu to use.but I guess is
like what I found out (I never have setup a Yaesu radio).
The manual for amplifier says like this:
DB 15 M pin 4 GND to Yaesu radio connector pin GND
DB 15 M pin 6 BAND A to Yaesu radio connector pin 4 BAND A
DB 15 M pin 14 BAND B to Yaesu radio connector pin 5 BAND B
DB 15 M pin 7 BAND C to Yaesu radio connector pin 6 BAND C
DB 15 M pin 15 BAND A to Yaesu radio connector pin 7 BAND D
Can anyone confirm this is right for the FT2000 ?
In the BAND DATA connector on rear of the FT2000
There is 3 more pins
Pin 2 TX GND
Pin 3 GND
Pin 8 Linear
What is the function of Linear pin 8 of Band DATA connector of FT2000, Is
this one only for VL1000 amp by Yaesu?
Next topic is wiring the ALC and PTT.
DB 15 M pin 12 Relay to Yaesu PTT/TX GND (should be pin 2 of the BAND DATA
connector)
DB 15 M pin 4 GND to Yaesu GND (should be pin 3 of the BAND DATA connector)
DB15 M pin 5 ALC to Yaesu ALC . (RCA connector)
DB15 M pin 13 GND to Yaesu ALC GND (RCA Connector)
Is the TX GND in band Data connector and the "RCA connector panel" on rear
of the FT2000 same function?
It should be the same function whatever Amp we use, but out from the manual
of FT2000 which says this one is for VL1000?
