Dan,
Like anything else, its a function of its electrical, mechanical and =
cosmetic condition. When you say the amp is in good condition, is it in =
good working condition? Special consideration should be given to the =
condition of the 3CV1500A7 and the vapor cooling system. =20
As most of you know, I completely rebuilt my first Vapor amp to =
collector quality this past summer. In my search for OEM components and =
power tube sources, I discovered that most, if not all original =
components are still available and thankfully, the 3CV1500A7 can be =
rebuilt by Econco Industries. If the tube is in questionable condition, =
a $590 rebuild is in order. =20
Having said the above, I would expect to pay between $2500 and $3,000 =
for a PA-70V in good electrical, mechanical and cosmetic condition with =
normal wear over the course of 27 years. On the other end of the =
spectrum, I recently paid $4,500 for a Vapor amp and spare tube, both =
new, in unopened boxes. =20
The PA-70V is an amazing amp and I give Dick utmost credit for its =
design. For the past few months I've used it, its been an absolute =
pleasure to use.

Hi guys,
=20
How much is a Alpha PA70V in good condition but not guaranteed (has =
been on the shelf for a while) worth?
