Of course, and everyone agrees on that point.
The problem is when people try to rewrite good engineering
or science or badmouth others based on some esoteric lucky
design.
The fact is a 572B is a lousy tube at ten meters, let alone
VHF. If it works in a particular recipe then that's fine. No
problem. Nails work fine for cotter keys in some
applications.
That doesn't change the fact it is a poor tube choice.
