I find that hams are really a cheap bunch. Anyone that calls $35 for a 1
foot piece of 1-1/2 PTFE, which is enough to make 2 plate chokes, must be on
welfare, and if you're in that situation, you should be buying groceries and
not building amplifiers. These are the same guys that walk up to your
tailgate at a swap meet, pick up an item with a $.25 price on it, and try to
bargain with you. No wonder almost all of the ham radio manufacturers have
gone out of business.
