Taken out of context, this statement can cause trouble. There are places where 
bi-polar transistors have advantages, but high power ( >+30 to 40 dBm or more) 
RF amps isn't one of them.
There's some argument about low phase noise oscillators: with an unbypassed 
emitter resistor, they can do very well, because they don't have the 1/f noise 
inherent in FETs, especially in GaAsFETs. They certainly have advantages in 
mixers in direct conversion receivers.
