I have worked on a number of Elmac AF-67 rigs. They are 50 watt am mobile transceivers and use plexiglas coil supports. Even at that low power level, most of the coils are distorted badly from the heat. Even with that low power, 160 and 80 meters into anything other than a perfect load will runi them - especially when mounted under the dash.
