@ Gary KG9GS
Thanks for the Max Gain bristol lead.
@ Martin:
Ok on the socket pins/clips again. On their later consoles, Henry had some
nicer sockets with a circular metal ring. I seem recall at least one of my
other consoles having that style.
@ Alek:
Roger on the heap o sockets if I need them. Re measuring filament volts at the
tube, I wish Henry had installed the external metering points on the 2K series
like the did on the 3K and 5K. As some may know, it's a bit of a challenge to
get to the bottom of the RF deck the way Henry built it. The RF deck slides
into the upper part of the console from the back. The loquacious 2C915 Dayton
blower is mounted just below the bottom of the tube deck, to the bottom of the
upper console shelf.
I may be able to energize the filaments for a brief period with the Rf deck
bottom up to get a direct reading from the socket bottoms. There won't be any
blower though, during that few seconds.
@ Jim W7RY:
Agreed. As mentioned above. access to the socket bottoms is not that easy, re
the comment to Alek.
Hope I did not leave anyone out.
Thanks for all comments........
The collective input is much appreciated.
Don
