The led display of the Alpha 99 is better at displaying the true voice power of 
the amplifier, since there is no mechanical delay of a meter.

Although peak hold circuits can be utilized with meters, it is still not as 
good as the dancing leds, for giving the operator valuable information.  

Now that I have an led array, I usually leave my scope off.
