I was thinking primarily of Amphenol who was a principle Mil-Spec
supplier for ages.
BTW, does anyone know the source of information to decode the
manufacturers name from Mil-Spec connectors, adaptors, etc. The real old
ones use a 4 letter code while the later ones are numeric.

I have not experienced that problem, however BNC jumper cables in lab
enviroments are forever getting destroyed.
What is worse is at my current employer where a 3 foot cable and
connectors good to 60Ghz costs $400 and we have to make a dozen or more
connects a day.....per shift. Even with care a cable is typically junk
within 4 months.
