Then why dont you offer an Alpha type warranty? Or why does Peter Dahl
sell so many Henry replacement xfmrs?

No more so than anyone else considered a real player in the market. Henry

There is no reason for a prone -to- problems roller inductor in a ham
amp. In 2-30MHz commercial service, then yes where it will not be subject
to constant tuning. Roller inductors buy you no real measurable
benefit...in a ham amp or a tuner. A well designed switched network IMO
is more reliable long term, cost effective and certainly faster to tune.
Gee, Henry and MFJ both push roller inductors......interesting...wonder
if there is a message there??
Why are switched doorknobs so great? And yet so many complain about them
in amps as drifty, overstressed, etc. Since Henry is primarily an 80-10M
company with 160M an afterthough I find absolutely no reason to use a
doorknob anywhere except for plate blocking. It may be hard for you to
accept but there ARE other options that work well.

Even Dentron used steel.
The old Clipperton L's and MLA-2500's are still in use by DXpeditions
...not because of magic RF but simply cuz they are not flimsy, rattle and
warped....like many Henry's I've seen. I have AI6V's MLA here which has
been around the world too many times to count and after all that time it
only needs some minor maintenance.
Also there is something to be said for steel encased xfmrs that dont fry
your gonads or brains as does aluminum......but salesmen are a different
breed I guess.
If I had my choices for a currently produced solid amp it would be the
Alpha 91b way up front. Henry would fall into the category of a 1973
Buick Electra 225..park it and leave it.
Now, what were you saying about opinions the other day? Yours are so
biased I have to get my hip waders on......
