Some CB type amps are pretty darn good quality. Many are pure junk.
My #1 concern would be the tube complement. If it uses TV sweep tubes or
other discontinued types I would probably pass it up.
The same goes for 4CX250 lineups that use IMD generating power supplies.
These can be used as-is on CW or rebuilt for SSB.
Take a look at RF Parts or other tube suppliers if you want "sticker
shock" for several types.
