Temperature rating is only a part of the requirement Dick. Most consumer
grade electrolytics 85 or 105 C are not able to withstand the ripple
currents in a HV supply. Some of the better brands may hold up in < 1500V
supplies but that is still risky as value tolerance often requires low
value higher wattage equalizing resistors. 

Stick to computer grade such as the Mallory CGS, Sprague 36D types.  
Also, Industrial grade such as the CDE 381L or 381LX series are rated for
high ripple, low ESR service and  105C. I have used these for several
years with no difficulty, overheating, etc. 

When it comes to HV I prefer to err to the side of safety and not price.
