?  As I understand the ratings, 10 out on RTTY should be doable.

?  2.5 inches of cooling-air back pressure means a 3400-rpm blower And 
that means lots of noise.  However, with an 8171, a mere 0.5 inches of 
back pressure is needed, which means a 1700-rpm blower will do the job, 
and that means a lot less noise.  Other niceties are greatly reduced 
tuned-input complexity, and the 8171 drives direct with a 150w radio, so 
no buffer-amplifier is needed. .  The trade-off is building the LM723 
ic/6N60 fet  regulated screen supply.
