SELL: Retrofitted Heath SB220 linear amplifier in 9++ condition
dedicated to 6meters. Runs the pair of standard 3-500's detuned to
about 600-650watts with redesigned circuitry for the rigors of trouble
free contesting. The amplifier is smooth loading with smooth resonance
dips. No physical changes have been made to the exterior cabinetry,
however, the OEM bandswitch now tunes the t-match input circuit for a
perfect 50ohm input load. Plate and antenna tune remain in the same
position however air variables have been replaced to accommodate the
higher frequency. A new tuned HV plate choke along with redesigned
parasitic chokes ensure stability. Large plate coil allows for fairly
wide frequency excursions without retuning. All meter switch positions
monitor regular functions. Currently wired for 220VAC operation. No
scratches, no dings, no bangs. $850. Prefer pickup in New York City or
