In autopsies of gold sputtered 8877s, the evidence I see indicates that
UHF is more likely.

Resistance-wire is assuredly not the only means of reducing Rp in a VHF
suppressor. Increasing L-supp in a copper-wire suppressor also reduces
Rp. The sticky wicket is increased power dissipation in R-supp on 10m.
