Charlie, Thanks for the reply. Well I called Icom and they said for the newer
ie Ameritron 811H types a relay is not needed to isolate since the relay
already has a low enough keyer current. However, i asked on the 756 Yahoo group
and here and was advised it really is a good idea to isolate the rig which the
one i have does well and a lot cheaper .. I recalled icom and asked again
after getting the feeling I really should isolate it and the Icom guy said no
not needed at all BUT he agreed would not hurt a thing.. so I put on my belt
AND suspenders <g>
