Hi,
Well it's new to me anyway. More interesting, no chimneys, blower mounting
scrtews still in place, ends of power cord stripped and tinned but no
evidence of any screw pressure, R111 the plate overcurrent sense resistor
that apparently runs pretty hot and can burn through the pcb looks taotally
mint all round without so much as a brown mark on the pcb. Amp is extremely
dirty, face plate and case scratched, may have a broken plate current meter.
Trying to work out how much use the amp might have seen. Do any of the above
points suggest it might be relatively little used? All three 8874's look
similar, date codes for two are 8304 the other one is 8303. Any other way to
assess the amount of usage?
Most important requirement right now is the chimney material for the tubes.
Manual says it's silicone rubber. Where can I get and what would be a
generic type equivalent? No specialist supply houses here like in the U.S.
