All, How hard would it be to build a multi-stage amp using sweep tubes? This would need four tuned circuits including the input tune. It would have a pre-driver, driver, and final set of tubes (1 driving 3 driving 8). Would this be a lot harder to design and build than using a couple of 3-500Z's or 4CX800's, etc even if it's a monoband? From looking at a project on the net, I'm just wondering on this.
