If I'm not mistaken the designer of the amp is using one with a K3 remotely,
and he can run any Ameritron amp he wants. IMHO Elecraft messed up when they
stopped at 500W with the KPA500. There are a few features in the KPA500 that
the 1306 doesn't have but it's got the bog one. When properly cabled it will
follow the radio's BCD band data.
The 1306 is what the 1300 should have been. Ameritron seem to have fixed the
12V supply problem that garnered most of the bad reviews on eHam. They couldn't
build them fast enough for the first couple of months.
