I used to own an SB-200. It is a fine amplifier.
I also owned a TL-922A from Kenwood. 
In both cases failure of one or more devices on the Harbach board caused a 
condition similar to that which you are experiencing, high plate current bias 
out of the ballpark, etc.
Removal of the mod allowed the amplifier(s) to return to normal operation. You 
will need an old fashioned relay interface between the exciter and the 
amplifier. They work just fine, not a classey high tech circuit, but always 
works.
