Check the filament voltage with an accurate meter. I repaired one for a friend that had almost 7 volts on the filaments. The poor 572B's went bad in a hurry! We put a 0.1 ohm resistor in the circuit and it dropped the voltage to normal. 73, Roger -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/ampfaq.html Submissions: amps@contesting.com Administrative requests: amps-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-amps@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm |
