I enjoy following the AMPS reflector except for the habit of some subscribers
who always seem to include ALL of the message they are replying to. Often
the reply is only a fraction of the entire message they send.
All subscribers get all the messages. If they miss one, they can go to the
archives.
Before sending a message where you are replying and have included the
previous message(s), delete all of the previous messages except for a few
lines so that your statements or questions have context if required.
I can predict some will say they have to include all the previous messages
because they will be accused of quoting something out of context. Spare me
please. We can go back to the original messages ourselves, and if you have
taken something out of context, we will be reminded by the originator of the
message.
Please save some bandwidth and more importantly -- save us the trouble and
time of searching through long quoted messages to find what wisdom you
have added.
Paul.
