[Amps] REPLACEING LEAFS ON A BANDSWITCH???????????

I have a question.........
The only screws i could find that would fit in the holes were steel one
the hardware did not have any brass ones. Should i coat these with say
fingernail polish to keep
from arching?  I feel the steel ones need something DO THEY???
