[Amps] Alpha 78 on 110 AC

Just moved and no 220 line available, it will take awhile until the 
basement is finished and 220 is ready.  The Alpha 78 has the capability 
to tap the transformer for 110 AC.  It would be temporarily ran to 110  
15 amp  outlets.  Is this asking for trouble? or will this work with 
some level of safety.
