Have relocated back to the parents QTH as they are in their 90's &
I'm the only progeny so they need an advocate to help them keep
independent as long as possible. That said, they are not keen for
change and drilling holes would lets nicely say; disturb their karma.

I thought of that but when I looked at the buss box, some idiot
removed the pins the breaker slides onto, on the remaining bus slots
by filing them down. So though the option to add another pair of
breakers was there at one time, it's not now.
Adding a piggyback breaker box is as problematic with them as
drilling holes...
I understand it's truly easier to get forgiveness than permission but
though the place will likely be mine someday, it is their house
today...
