A lot of the industrial ink jet printers don't use an ink at all; many are polymers. Think toner. Try acetone, toluene or MEK (methyl ethyl ketone). All are solvents that will attack various plastics but not etch aluminum. The really nasty heavy-duty paint removers are generous with the MEK.
