Those are made from extruded HDPE. (High Density Polyethylene)
. It's almost indestructible indoors, but deteriorates with exposure to UV
. It does not cut or machine well. The more expensive cast HDPE type is
better in this regard, but more expensive. :-) You can tell the
difference by the texture. Extruded has a slick, almost "greasy" feel
and is rubbery to bend and flex. Cast has a harder finish and doesn't
bend as easily.
