I think that at this point in time manufacturing a new tube amp is a bad
move. Appropriate tubes of decent quality still being manufactured are
difficult to source and will become more so in the future. It is time to
shift to solid state. Commercial transmitters and RF heating amplifiers
have been providing reliable service into the multi megawatt range for
quite some time. There is no reason more full limit key down SS amps can
not be designed for amateur service.
