I have never ran a new 3-500Z 3-400Z, or 8170 for more than a minute
before firing it up. In my experiences, a tube that shows gas on an
initial high-pot test is not no more likely to getter itself in
24-hours than an engine that tosses a rod is going to fix itself in
24-hours.
