Well, Im certainly not talking about a paint job since this is an amp forum
after all. And since Im very familiar with Collins gear and all brands of amps
I was referring to the technical features.

I have the 2000C unit. and Carl I have to disagree with you about the
Collins influence. Ted Hunter worked for Collins and located his company just
across the city from Collins.. And my amp, has nearly the same color
scheme...maybe different circuitry, that may be the difference, dont know about
that. :)

The Hunter 2000A and B were the 572 amps.
The C used a pair of 3-400Z's and was a very well designed and rugged
kit with quality components and on the market before the SB-220. There was no
Collins influence apparent.
While living in IL I operated at a contest station that had a pair of
the B models that held up well when not overdriven.

It is a simple amp, doubt that both filaments would go out at
the same time..the transformer has all the windings on it, HV, filament, bias,
so hope its not your transformer.. had 2 of these in the past, still have one,
my primary amp, wonderful amp, built tough, similar to Collins since the
designer was an engineer at Collins before he started Hunter Electronics..

Start with the manual and follow the circuit, its a good
but very basic amp.
