You guys are not seriously suggesting that a radio amateur should be required to
know a little bit about radio and radio equipment, are you? Shame on you! You'll
be suggesting that amateurs be allowed put their own coax connectors next -
perhaps even want them allowed to build their own rigs!
Some of you may have seen on the antennas list the other week from a guy
somewhere in the mid - west who wanted to build a loop antenna, but didn't want
to use any tools like a drill because they have dangerous sharp edges, or a
soldering iron because of the fire hazard.......
