The CW ID on The aviation frequencies certainly can be an emergency
communication. Knowing the ID, can tell you where you are located.
This can be particularly helpful for new pilots who get lost easily.
Getting lost while flying can be fatal.

In fact, a slow speed CW ID is an excellent mode for that purpose, but when blood is spilling and things are on fire, voice is king. 73, Bill W6WRT _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
