My .02 on this; the correct connector *designed* for the specific job will stop
errors in hookup before they can occur. Sure as shootin' someone will hook up
a pl-259 to a so-239 and truly, " the sparks will fly".
I do not build hardly anything anymore, but when I do I do it safely so that no
fool (yours truly included) cannot make a grievous mistake.

And for decades cars didn't have air bags, seat belts or padded
dashes. They relied on drivers to operate "safely". Was that a good
