Lane, Both the 3-400 and 3-500 have 2 different heights depending on the
design. The early models of both the 400 and 500 are shorter that the later
models. The early models did not have a phenolic pin support structure
and the later models did. The support structure design of both models were
higher than the early models. But the 3-400 was always a bit lower in
height than the 3-500. A couple of older type amps can only accept the older
version 3-400 as the newer design was too tall. You should be able to get
the height off a spec sheet here on the Internet. Try Google.

Does anyone have the vertical height of a 3-500 vs a 3-400? Thanks Lane
