The P is a complete drop in without any changes when you stay with the 
original PS. Ive upgraded many amps that way for customers.

The original 3CX800A7 Eimac spec sheet sent to OEM's listed 2500V at 
800ma in a 50% duty cycle but changed it to 2200 @ 600ma to keep the FCC 
happy.
