I can't help you with specs for that Rotron, but high speed blowers
are often noisy. I have been happy with my Dayton 2C647 blowers on
two amps. They run at 1500 RPM, and while certainly not silent they
make a lot less noise than most 3000+ RPM blowers I have seen. My
8877 spec sheet says it needs 35 CFM at .41" back pressure. The
2C647 will deliver 96 CFM at .4" according to its spec sheet (and 79
CFM at .5"). There is no such thing as too much air unless you blow
the tube out of the socket. A Google search for 'Dayton 2C647'
should turn up a few places to buy them, and specifications.
Incidentally I bought mine from some company in Ontario (they had a
great price on them) but can't recall the name of the place now.
