The so called "pin 1 problem" would probably get more attention from
hams if it were given a meaningful self-explanatory name, something
like "cable shield to cabinet continuity problem." "Pin 1 problem"
has so little meaning in and of itself, that it just blows by most
folks as part of the electronic mumbo jumbo noise.
Most hams know nothing of 3 pin balanced audio connectors and cables,
pinouts, and any of that other irrelevant pro-audio non-radio word
play so that "Pin 1" for all they know, could be some kind of issue at
the bowling alley.
