It is going back together very slowly. I have had a major attack of RA and
am taking a special treatment of steroids.

I only ran my new GI-7bT tubes for a few hours on just the heater before
applying high voltage. They are working fine in my home-brew 160-meter
amplifier.

What are you guys doing to prepare GI7b:s for first time use? I recall
playing with one some years ago and I don't remember doing anything special
apart from running it on filament for a day before applying HV.
What do you recommend?
