Subject: Re: [Amps] Amp Supply LK500ZB - strange failure mode
Agreed, that is the one thing i did do, is replace the zener, but no
change. Looks like it is a bad tube, after swapping and pulling, the
problem follows the one of them. So now for a little market research i
guess.
Tnx
Rich
## How old is the good remaining tube ?? I would just buy a matched pair
of new tubes and be done with it.
Your chances of getting a 50-50 current split on an old eimac 3-500Z with a
mu of 130 vs a new 3-500Z with a
mu of 200 will not be very good.
## sell the remaining semi good oem tube to someone who has a 1 tube amp.
