According to the designers I used to work with, who designed diode and
thyristor and IGBT stacks for everything up to 5000 volts DC at 2500 Amps,
when putting diodes in series. make sure they;re from the same batch. Not
a set of 'floor sweeping' 1N5408's from who knows where.
