My $200 Autek "vector" (R & X) impedance meter also suffers from limited
range, but its worst limitation is that it can't measure the impedance of
my antenna because I live near a 50-kW, 1510-kHz, broadcast station. The
strong signal from this station overwhelms the Autek's detectors.
How can I best measure my antenna impedance? A noise bridge? A bridge
excited at a high level by my transmitter? All I care about are ham-band
frequencies.
