I've been using a 4 square with raised radials on 80 for 11 years now. The
elements are self supporting, starting at 4" diameter 1/4" wall 6061-T6
aluminum and tapering to 1/2". This antenna has worked tens of thousands of
Europeans, but I think it is best at sunset working longpath into Asia.
