Texas has an estimated population of about 23 million, mostly in Houston,
Dallas-Ft Worth and San Antonio met areas. About 2/3 of the state is quite
sparsely populated.

Unfortunately contesting in the UK is very poorly supported indeed. The
reasons for this may be complex, but might include a general lack of
interest in participative sports in general, and inability to erect
competitive antennas. If I tell you that there are 60 million of us living
in an area the size of the state of Texas, and that a significant part of
that is not even inhabitable, particularly in GW and GM because of the
mountains, you may begin to gain an appreciation of the problem.
